Today, I continued trying to make some cool sounds, and make a cool loop out of them. I so far have a Spacey sound. A Metal sounding bass. And a different kind of spacey thing

This project is much harder than I thought. I've been trying to get a cool sound, but it took me quite a while to get one. My first one i made is a deep synth sound, kinda hard to explain. Took me all day to make it :P

Today, we were assigned Project 7, in which we have to make our own synth and make our own loop with it. But the music only counts for 50 points, while the posts are worth 150 points. So today, I started to try to make a awseome synth. Unfortunately, nothing came to me :/ So I gotta keep tweaking around until I get one I like

Today I finished my Sytrus project, and uploaded it, as it's the post right below this one.

#6: Sytrus and the Riff Machine

For this project, we had to make our own sounds and implement them into our loop. After you make the sound using Sytrus, you can use the Riff Machine to make riffs automatically for you, which is very useful for the riff impaired (me). I made a techno sound and used the riff machine to make the most random loop I could, because I like random sounding things. I also used the Riff Machine on a Tom drum, to make it sound good so it could go along with the original riff. For my second riff after the main one, I made it with BooBass. I added a guy screaming because I wanted to get something that could ease the loop back to the first riff. Then I repeated the first riff, with the drums and bass with it. Enjoy.

Today, Mr. Rabuse showed us Sytrus and the riff machine, and I think the riff machine is pretty sweet.

So today I posted Project 5, after messing around with it for a little while. I think it sounded ok.

Project Number 5: Vocoder

This project was a bit confusing at first, but I think I understand it better. It was hard for me to put in vocals in the loop. Anyway, I put in 3 vocals, A police officer telling another police officer to 'Do it now', A computer saying 'Critical Error', and one called Excessive Exposure, which is the one I messed with the most. I changed it from a middle aged girl saying it to a growling man, so that was fun. I tried to base this piece over getting a virus on your computer. I added a drum loop with a snapping sound at the end, then a Slayer part, then a bit of Boobass. Enjoy

#5 Update

Today, I made a drum, bass, and guitar lop for my project. I also was looking for cool sounds and messing them up to make them sound weird. I made a phone ringing sound like something straight out of a video game.

Project Number 5 Update

Hey, so today I was looking around for cool sounds to go through the vocoder. In got a couple of cool ones like a robot that says 'Game over' and a police officer telling a different officer to do something. I messed around with Slayer a bit, trying to find a cool loop of guitar. Then I tried to make a decent loop with my vocoded stuff and my guitar, all I need now is to put the rest of the stuff through the vocoder, find a good drum loop, maybe add a bit of bass, and make it all work.

Update Thing on Project Numbah 5

Ok, so today, I tried to get my Audio clip to work with Vocodex. It was hard, I had to get Mr. Rabuse to help me out. Then, I messed around with the program, making my audio clips girly voice sound like a man. Fun. Then I tested it out, and changed some things.

Project 4

In this project, we had to use automation clips, which is easier than it sounds. My automation clip was with volume, at the beginning. I tried to make it hip hopish sounding, and I think I succeeded. At the beginning I used a kick drum, Boobass, and a cool sound called MIXO_C1(L)ogg, which was a string, then I used an FPC called FPC Rock 12. Plus a crash at the end. Enjoy

Project 3: FX

In this project, we had to use effects from FL Studio and put them on instruments, and make the piece. I used Fruity Reverb for my Clap sound at the begging, which made it sound even weirder than it already was. I used Fruity Delay Bank on my Kick Drum, so it repeated, and I used Fruity Phaser on my BooBass, and Fruity Squeeze on my Glass Breaking sound to make it sound weird. I switched Slayer around so it made a cool new guitar sound, which is what I used in the second half. I used the Glass Breaking sound for something to switch the instruments without too much hassle. I used the Gunshot at the end, because it's hard for me to make a song end naturally, so I end it with a bang.
Enjoy.

I think I fixed it
Project 2HA.mp3: http://www.divshare.com/download/8716786-aa2

I'm hoping this works.

Ovi was being very dumb and not accepting mp3 files, so I had to use Divshare instead.

Anyway, this project was supposed to have us use the 'chop' tool, the 'transpose' tool, and FPC. I wasn't inspired by anything other than my love for guitar. I used Slayer a lot, for all my guitar, used BASS_EfEm_C2 as my bass, and used a FPC called FPC_SdSt_C_001.wav.

Enjoy!

Project one

Here is my first Music Tech project. It centers around the 'clapping' sound, along with some kick drums, a snare drum, and a cymbal at the end.

I tried focusing on the starting instruments, but it all narrowed down to the clapping sound, because it stood out the most, so I made it the main idea. Kick drums and the snare drum were used to support it, and the cymbal at the end seemed to fit as a good way to stop the whole thing.
